The Cystal Cracked @ Honey Ramka, 9.6 - 10.6

I'm so excited to have work in the inaugural exhibition at Honey Ramka

. . .

Honey Ramka is pleased to announce its inaugural exhibition, The Crystal Cracked. The exhibition opens Friday, September 6th from 6-9pm, and runs through Sunday, October 6th.

The Crystal Cracked features artworks by Jessica Cannon, Lars van Dooren, Ben Finer, Michelle Heinz, Peter Lapsley, Keri Oldham, Russell Tyler, and Nikita Vishnevskiy. This show highlights works that are of a fractured, cosmic, or fantastical bent. Like prisms splintering their own light, the artworks rally fragments into curious constellations that reassert the sublimity of brokenness.

My curatorial project, THE PSYCHIC TRIANGLE was accepted as part of the 2013-14 season at NURTUREart. More info on artists + dates to come!

Archipelago opens 1.17

In Process...

The studio has been taken over by Psychic Excavation!

Special Thank You to Crescent Paper!

Crescent Artists

Crescent Artists has generously offered to contribute some rolls of Graffiti Paper to Psychic Excavation!

Psychic Excavation is a series of large scale multi-layered paintings on paper that will be installed outside at the Art Lot in Red Hook, Brooklyn from September - December.

When working with this process for the first time last spring ( it was hard to find a material that would absorb many layers of paint while still being light enough and porous enough to be adhered to a concrete wall.

The Graffiti Paper from Crescent was able to strike that difficult balance, withstanding months of weathering while also maintaining the delicate qualities of paper.

Images of the new works in process coming soon...

Many Thanks to Crescent Papers for their support!

+ Thanks again to Brooklyn Arts Council for funding Psychic Excavation through a Community Arts Fund Grant.
